This seminar will be presented by a PhD candidate (Mr Hareim H. Hassan) in Argumentation studies of Windsor University in Canada.
This seminar argues that changes in the status quo, i.e., reality, can not be reduced to political and/or economic factors only. Argumentation, creating and exchanging arguments, can also play an important role in changing the status quo. For instance, the presenter manifests argumentation in two historical examples;
- women’s rights, and
- post colonialism
