Abstract:
The relationship between Air Trafic Controller (ATC) and Pilot is only through voice communication, therefore language plays a vital role in the transmission of messages between them.
In this presentation, the importance of Aviation English and its characteristics, analysis of that language with regard to safety is going to be discussed. At the same time, the English language proficiency of ATC and pilots in both skills of speaking and listening will be explained.
