Karzan Aziz Mahmood


Karzan Aziz Mahmood has a BA in ‘English Language and Literature’ from the University of Sulaimani (2011 – Iraq), an MA in ‘English Literature’ from Swansea University (2014 – UK). He is currently a Ph.D. student in ‘Literature and Translation’ at Jaume I University (since 2019- Spain). He has taught English literature, criticism, creative writing, translation, and English language at Komar University of Science and Technology since 2016. He is also the director of the Centre of Intensive English Program at the same university. He is an English-Kurdish, Kurdish-English translator and writer of eight books and hundreds of essays and articles in literature, philosophy, and political economy. His research interests include Romantic sublime, intertextuality, adaptation, translation studies, literary theory and criticism, Marxism, and Postmodern studies.
