Establishment the Second Board of Community Service Council
On Monday, October 27, 2014, KUST has held a meeting to establish the second board of Community Service Council (CSC). The mission of the council is to provide resources for the University Community, to connect with, participate in and provide services to communities of Sulaymani, Kurdistan and Iraq.
The Council consists of nine members (one represents Faculty and Staff of KUST, one represents KUST’s students and seven members selected from the community.
The Community Service Council for next two years (2015-2016) are:
• Mr. Fatah Zaxoyi ( Former Minister of Culture, selected head of the council)
• Mr. Saman Siwaily (Psychologist)
• Ms. Xoshy Shawqy ( Director of Graphic Department in Sulaimani Fine Art Institution)
• Dr. Basma Mohammed ( Faculty Member in University of Sulaimani)
• Dr. Jinan Qasim (Former Minister of Women Affairs)
• Mr. Jamal Omar Mohammed-Amin (Poet, Member of Consultative Council of KRG)
• Ms. Kazhan Rebwar (KUST student representative)
• Ms. Kner Abdullah (Director of Public Affairs, KUST Faculty and Staff representative).
At the meeting KUST President Dr. Salah Aziz talked about the work and the services of the former members of the council for their achievements of past two years and thanked the new members for establishing the council for their upcoming volunteered works in service of the community.
