KUST Short Film Festival 2025 Celebrates Creative Storytelling in One Minute
Komar University of Science and Technology (KUST) hosted the KUST Short Film Festival 2025, supervised by Ms. Kizhan Salar, a faculty member at the Department of English Language and Literature. The event celebrated visual storytelling through one-minute films, each delivering a clear and meaningful message.
A total of 20 semifinalist entries were shortlisted, and the festival welcomed 154 voters to help determine the winners. The jury panel included Ms. Kizhan Salar from KUST, filmmaker and producer Kimberly Anne from Los Angeles, and professional actor Laura Whittenberger from New York. Each juror delivered a brief speech, offering insights into the art of filmmaking and the impact of short-form storytelling.
The program featured a screening of all nominated films, followed by a live voting session. The event concluded with the announcement of the winners, a group photoshoot, and complimentary refreshments.
The festival successfully highlighted the power of concise storytelling and reaffirmed KUST’s commitment to fostering creativity and artistic expression within its community.
