Komar University Hosts Ramadan Event
On March 20, 2025, Komar University of Science and Technology held a special Ramadan event, bringing together students, faculty, and staff for a meaningful discussion on fasting, nutrition, and spiritual well-being.
The event commenced at 10:30 AM with a heartfelt recitation from the Holy Quran by Bakhtawar Bahaddin, a student from the Pharmacy Department. Following this, Mr. Mohammed Sheikh Ridha, accompanied by two Def players, performed religious hymns, adding a spiritual ambiance to the gathering.
A key highlight of the event was an insightful conversation with Dr. Sirwan Abdullah, a specialist in nutrition and obesity. The discussion covered various aspects of Ramadan, including the physical benefits of fasting, the impact of diet on overall health, and essential nutritional advice for Suhoor and Iftar. Dr. Sirwan provided valuable recommendations on maintaining a balanced diet during the holy month to enhance energy levels and overall well-being.
The event fostered a deeper understanding of Ramadan’s significance while promoting healthy lifestyle choices. It concluded with an engaging question and answer session, where attendees had the opportunity to seek expert advice on fasting and nutrition.
