Komar University President along with KRG Higher Education Experts Engage in Key Talks with Iraqi Parliament
On February 24, 2024, in a significant move towards reforming Iraq’s higher education, Professor Dr. Salahalddin Saeed Ali, President of Komar University of Science and Technology, and a delegation of experts from the Kurdistan Region recently met with the Iraqi Parliament’s Higher Education Committee. The KRG delegation was headed by the Vice Minister, Dr. Abdulfatah Abdulrazaq, and the Iraqi Parliament delegation was headed by Dr. Muzahim Al-Khayat. In the meeting, Dr. Salahalddin Saeed Ali, represented private universities in the Kurdistan Region. The meeting centred on a proposed draft law for private higher education, aiming to address the sector’s challenges and pave the way for improvements across Iraq.
