A seminar on “Sublimity: Its Origins and Relation with the French Revolution by Edmund Burke and Immanuel Kant”.
A seminar was held by Mr. Karzan Mahmood, a faculty member of English department titled “Sublimity: Its Origins and Relation with the French Revolution by Edmund Burke and Immanuel Kant”.
Briefly, we often encounter the word sublime. For example, that object, place, situation, experience is sublime. All that came refers to sublime as extremely good or fascinating. But is that the real meaning of the sublime? To unfold the true meaning of the word, this research work will throw light on its origins and later concentrate on it deeply in relation to the French Revolution from both Edmund Burke and Immanuel Kant’s perspectives.
