KUST Student Achieved to Get the 1st Place in Recycled Art Competition
Komar University of Science and Technology Students were actively participating in different competitions at National and International level. Recently the 5th RWANGA AWARD (2018) was announced and KUST students along with 100s of youths in Kurdistan Region participated in these ten categorized competitions. During the two-hour ceremony, 30 winners had been announced as first, second and third place winners for the then categories of Short Film, Recycled Art, Drawing, Scientific Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Solo Music, Software Development, Poetry and Photography. Out of many submitted projects for Recycled Art, one of the students from Civil Engineering Department (Drud Muhammed) won the 1st place in the competition on December 6th, 2018.
The aim of Recycled Art Catagory is to show the ability and skills of those youth who produce their artworks from waste materials in purpose of protect and preserve the environment.
Proudly, last year KUST students participated in this competition by 4 projects in 3 different categories namely (Recycled Art, photography and Short story), our student (Drud Muhammed) got the 3rd place in the same competition in Recycled Art on November 23, 2017 and KUST faculty member, Mr. Twana A. Tahir was one of selected and respectful judges.
KUST would like to congratulate “Drud” for his great achievement and wishing him all the best for future competitions.
