Department of Earth Sciences and Petroleum Honors Professor Dr. Salahalddin Saeed Ali

The Department of Earth Sciences and Petroleum at Sulaimanya university organized an appreciation ceremony in honor of Professor Dr. Salahalddin Saeed Ali, recognizing his longstanding service and contributions to higher education.

The ceremony opened with welcoming remarks by Dr. Divan Othman, Head of the Department, who reflected on Dr. Salah’s dedication, academic leadership, and lasting impact on students and colleagues alike.

A documentary video was then presented, highlighting the major milestones of Dr. Salah’s educational background and professional career, illustrating his journey across decades of academic and administrative service.

In his address, Dr. Salah reflected on his professional path and the roles he held throughout his career. He expressed sincere appreciation to everyone who supported him along the way and emphasized that his achievements were the result of teamwork, mentorship, and collaboration rather than individual effort alone.

Several colleagues paid tribute to Dr. Salah, including Dr. Dara Fayaq, who honored his academic legacy on behalf of the Department, and Dr. Fuad, who shared personal memories and moments from their years of working together.

The ceremony also featured a keynote speech by Dr. Haval Abubakir, Governor of Slemani, who commended Dr. Salah’s contributions to the academic community and his service to society.
