KUST Recognized Nationally as Model for Digital Transformation in Higher Education
Komar University of Science and Technology (KUST) has once again proven itself a leader in innovation and digital transformation, hosting a high-level delegation from Iraq’s Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Baghdad.
The delegation, led by Mr. Salih Saad Salih, Director of the E-Platform for Training & Development Department, visited KUST at the Ministry’s request to learn about the university’s pioneering work in building a fully digitized higher education system. The visit follows the Kurdistan Regional Government’s earlier selection of KUST as a model for universities across Iraq.
During the visit, KUST presented its flagship technologies, including MyKomar – an in-house platform managing every stage of a student’s journey from admission to graduation – and Dr. KoBot, an AI-powered assistant that streamlines both academic and administrative processes.
The delegation praised KUST’s forward-thinking approach, combining modern teaching methods with cutting-edge technology to prepare graduates for success in the 21st century. Both sides agreed to strengthen academic and technical cooperation to help raise the quality of higher education across Iraq.
This recognition comes shortly after KUST was ranked #1 in Innovation among all public and private universities in Iraq – a testament to its role as a national leader in technology-driven education.
