Komar University Students Achieve Top Rankings in Sulaimani Open Chess Tournament
On February 26-27, 2025 – The first Open Chess Tournament for Universities and Colleges in Sulaimani Province, organized in collaboration with the Sulaimani Sports Directorate, concluded successfully. The competition brought together talented chess players from universities and colleges across the region, showcasing strategic skills and competitive spirit.
Komar University of Science and Technology proudly participated in the tournament, with one male and one female player representing the university. Demonstrating remarkable focus and strategic thinking, our female player secured third place in the girls’ category, while our male player achieved fourth place in the boys’ category.
