University Day 2024: A Celebration of Innovation, Collaboration, and Talent at Komar University
University Day 2024 at Komar University of Science and Technology was a success, marked by an exciting mix of student achievements, and a vibrant atmosphere full of cultural activities and musical performances.
The event began with an opening speech by Professor Dr. Salahalddin Saeed Ali, President of Komar University of Science and Technology, who emphasized the importance of innovation and education in shaping the future. He also addressed the advancements that the university has seen since its establishment. Dr. Twana Najaf, Representative of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, followed with a speech highlighting the university’s vital role in advancing academic excellence. Dr. Haval Abubakir, Governor of Slemani, also addressed the audience, expressing pride in the students and the University for their contributions to the community at large.
Following the speeches, the much-anticipated student project exhibitions were officially launched, showcasing a wide range of innovative ideas across multiple disciplines. In this event, more than 700 students participated with over 160 projects across different departments. The excitement continued into the evening, as more than 8000 attendees enjoyed touring among the projects and later three lively concerts: one performed by the student club with talented students of Komar University, and two captivating performances by well-known singers, Mazhar Nasih and Ghazal Mustafa.
As the event drew to a close, the winners of student projects across five distinct categories were announced, recognizing outstanding work in fields such as medicine, engineering, and business. The winning students were presented with appreciation plaques to honor their remarkable achievements.
