The Centre of Intensive English Program (CIEP) Holds their First Spring Event
On February 25th, 2024 the Centre of Intensive English Program (CIEP) at Komar University of Science and Technology held its first Spring Semester event under the title ‘The Power of Self-education’. The event aimed at making students aware of the power and role of students in educating themselves in a world where access to new technologies and learning tools is available to both students and teachers more than ever. The event included three seminars by the CIEP and KUST teachers and one panel by the CIEP and KUST students and alumni. The seminars covered a range of different topics including “Student-centeredness for Students” which was presented by Mr Aram Namdar, “Students before Media Manipulations” presented by Mr Zamo Ali and ‘Healthy Lifestyle & Self-education’ which was presented by Mr Brwa Othman. The event concluded with discussions and sharing ideas from both students and teachers paving the way to a better understanding of the students’ role in the process of education.
