KUST holds an International Conference in Collaboration with IFAD Academy
On September 17, 18, 19th, 2023 Komar University of Science and Technology, in collaboration with IFAD academy, held a three-day international conference under the title “The 3rd International Conference on Research Challenges and Recent Trends in Applied and Humanitarian Sciences”. The aim of the conference was to highlight obstacles and challenges researchers encounter in the phase of writing and publication of scientific research papers. Over the course of three days, the conference drew an audience of more than a thousand participants, including both virtual and in-person attendees.
The conference was also attended by Professor Dr. Ali Hussain Makki Al Mamoury, National Security Advisor to the Federal Government Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al Sudani, Komar University’s President, Professor Dr. Salahhalddin Saeed Ali, Vice President for Academic and Student Affair Professor Dr. Kawis Aziz Faraj, and local and international researchers from different countries and universities.
The conference commenced with an opening statement from Professor Dr. Kawis Aziz Faraj, Komar University’s Vice president for Academic and Student Affairs. Later, following the speeches from the conference’s keynote speakers, the papers submitted to the conference were divided into 7 sessions, which were presented throughout the three days of the conference. After the conclusion of the third day of the conference, the researchers were guided on a tour inside the city of Sulaimani to experience and explore the city’s attractions firsthand.
