Komar University of Science and Technology launches Hêvîlane

On October 13, 2022 Komar university’s Department of Pharmacy launched Hêvîlane, a breast cancer awareness campaign. This campaign is launched by Dr. Nashmil Abullah, coordinator of the department of Pharmacy, along with 11 students from Komar University of Science and Technology. Hêvîlane is a handmade product sponsored by Komar University of Science and Technology and Kurdistan Save the Children. It is a keychain medal consisting of different sized beads representing the different sizes of breast cancer tumor. The goal of this campaign is to spread awareness on this condition and also encourage women, particularly, to do regular mammography to detect tumors in their early stages.
