ASCE Student Chapter

On Tuesday, (1^st December 2020), an event for establishing the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) student chapter at Komar University of Science and Technology (KUST) has been arranged. In the event, a general overview of the history of ASCE and its role in the daily practice of both engineers and students within the Civil Engineering profession has been stated. After a very positive engagement from the students, the nominations have opened, and an election was conducted among students to hold the available office positions that are needed to fulfill the Chapter’s duties. It worth mentioning that it is the first time in Iraq and Kurdistan Region that a university has achieved this remarkable success. The following is the list of elected officers with their positions:
