KUST celebrates World Earth day
In order to be part of the World’s goal to protect the environment, the Level 2 CIEP students organised an Earth day awareness event for the local school Qazi Muhammed Primary School.
In addition, there were many other attendees who were interested to learn about the importance of Earth day and how we can help our community to understand the ways to protect our environment.
Over the last few weeks, the students had done various outdoor activities with local schools, in the parks, with the local community by holding talks in schools, handing out leaflets and bags for waste. Furthermore, items were made out of recyclable material such as plastic bottles and cardboard boxes.
The event consisted of presentations, short videos, hand drawings and posters designed by the students. There were also some Earth day themed treats.
We strongly believe, in order to protect our beautiful Kurdistan, we must spread awareness and take positive action as a step forward to achieving the global goal.
