Participation on the SPE Symposium in Erbil
Society of Petroleum Engineering (SPE) Erbil-Section has organized a one-day symposium entitled “Petroleum Engineering Programs in Kurdistan Region Universities; Present challenges and future scopes” at Rotana Hotel in Erbil on Friday, June 14th 2019.
The symposium was planned to be a platform for an open discussion and ideas exchange between the chairpersons of the petroleum engineering departments (or their representatives) within Kurdistan Region. Dr Hiwa Sidiq, chairman of the PTE, and Dr Hamid Farangis Zadeh, director of KRC, were representing KUST in the symposium, where Dr Hamid Farangis Zadeh presented a speech entitled “Future Scopes: Energy and Suitability”.
In this symposium, several suggestions for enhancing the PE program were presented and discussed by the attendees of the meeting. The approved ideas and suggestions are planned to be discussed with related ministries in the coming future.
