A Seminar on Natural Products in Drug Discovery and Cancer Therapeutics
Komar Research Center has organized a seminar on Wednesday, May 24th, 2017, for Professor Shwan Rachid, assistant of university president for Academic Affairs at Charmo University on “Natural Products in Drug Discovery and Cancer Therapeutics”. Prof. Rachid is also a lecturer in the Medical Laboratory Sciences Department at Komar University of Science and Technology.
One of the biggest and most serious threats to public health is the resistance to drugs. He has illustrated that the emergence of antibiotic resistance is highly correlated with selective pressure resulting from inappropriate and misuse of these drugs. This is clearly visible in our society because of frequent use and easy access to antibiotics without prescriptions.
