Participant Students and Companies in KUST’s Summer 2015 Internship Program Awarded

On Monday, January 18, 2016, at 2:00 PM, Komar University for Science and Technology celebrated its first group of students who finished their Internship Program as part of their academic advancement in summer 2015.

KUST partnered with 20 businesses in Sulaimani to provide on-the-job training to 83 students from the following departments: Department of Civil Engineering, Department of Petroleum Engineering, Department of Environmental Engineering, Department of E-commerce, Department of Accounting, and Department of Information Management.

The ceremony featured a speech by the president of KUST, Dr. Salah Aziz, followed by 2015 KUST Internship Program Coordinator, Dr. Alan Noory.

In the ceremony an award of (Best Business to Intern With) was given to 3 businesses, chosen by the students, as following:

Dr. Salah Aziz presented the awards to the winning businesses, and gave certificates of Appreciation to the businesses that participated in KUST’s summer 2015 Internship Program.

Another award of (Best Internship Experience by A Student) was given to 3 students, chosen by their own peers, as following:

Dr. Alan Noory presented the awards to the students.
