Quality Assurance Workshop
Komar University of Science and Technology conducted a workshop titled
On May 25th, 2016. Forty participants from the following universities: University of Sulaymani, Sulaimani Polytechnic University, Lebanese French University-Erbil, Cihan University-Sulaymani, University of Human Development, Charmu University, American University in Iraq-Sulaimanyah, American University of Kurdistan-Dohuk, Hawler Petroleum Institute-Erbil, and Komar University participated in a workshop titled “The Importance of ABET Accreditation for Engineering and Technology” in High Crest Hotel-Sulaymani. The workshop started at 8:30 and lasted until noon. The keynote presenter were Dr. Salah Aziz, President and ABET and SACS expert and Professor Kamal Tawfiq, ABET Evaluator and chairman of the department of civil and environmental engineering in FAMU-FSU College of Engineering , Florida-USA.The subjects presented in the workshop were:

The workshop generated lively discussions about the concept of Accreditation, the role of Accreditation Agency, Quality Assurance and International Academic Standards..
At the end of the workshop the participants received Certification of Participation signed by both speakers.
