A Seminar on the Case of Non-English Major University Students
On June 5th, 2016, Komar University holds a seminar for Dr. Zainab Al-Zaghir, a Lecturer in Komar University titled “Necessity is the Mother of Motivation: The Case of Non-English Major University Students”
In the seminar Dr. Zainab, stated that, learning new language is one of the most challenging tasks that students might face. She also addressed one of the crucial factors that has great role in the process of language learning, which was “Motivation”
The researcher explained how to find out whether students who do not major in English are motivated to learn English language or not, also she shed a light on the other factors which affect students’ motivation.
In her presentation, she addressed some recommendations which help to increase the students’ motivation to learn English, and thus to improve their performance.
Many KUST students, faculty and staff members attended the seminar and got the opportunity to get answers for their questions.
At the end Dr. Zainab was awarded with a certificate of appreciation for her presentation.
