The Komar University of Science and Technology (KUST) offer its Educational Awareness Project, Cooperating with the Department of Education in Sulaimany.
The program began by visiting Jamal Tahir High School and Twimalik High School to talk about technology with the students. The lecture started with an introduction of KUST by Business Accounting majors Baban Bakr and Bawan Ihssan, Petroleum Engineering major Aryan Zardasht, and MLS majors Balen Najmaden and Barzhawand Ahmed. Then Mr. Fatah Zakhoy from the Community Service Council discussed technology which is very important in our daily lives. He said, “You cannot live in a civilized way if you don’t use technology”. Next he covered time management. This issue is very important for students because time has value and if students don’t use their time in a productive way, they can’t be successful in the future. The seminar ended by showing a video clip to show some disadvantages of technology.
