KUST Quality Assurance Office Conducts Faculty Training for Fall 2025
The Quality Assurance Office at KUST launched the Fall 2025 semester with a comprehensive series of training sessions for faculty members. Held from August 31 to September 8, 2025, the sessions were designed to equip faculty with the latest tools, policies, and teaching practices essential for enhancing academic excellence at KUST.
The faculty engaged in a session on AI Integration in Course Instruction, presented by Dr. Muayad Jajo and Dr. Rawia Tahrir, which focused on practical strategies for incorporating artificial intelligence into the classroom.
The program also provided an opportunity for senior faculty members from each department to present how they had implemented “Learning-by-Doing” approaches in their teaching during the previous semester.
Special sessions were held for new faculty members. Topics included Innovative Pedagogy and Designing Assessment Tools by Dr. Twana Tahir, Undesirable Teaching Styles at KUST by Dr. Ahmed Gheni, and Prioritizing Students’ Mental Health and Well-being by Dr. Shahla Ali.
The training also included syllabus presentations across all departments, where faculty members presented updated course plans, discussed changes, and outlined improvements for the upcoming semester. These presentations, overseen by department chairpersons and the QA Office, ensured alignment with KUST’s academic standards and student-centered teaching approaches.
These training sessions underscore KUST’s commitment to empowering faculty with the knowledge, tools, and strategies necessary to deliver a high-quality, student-focused education.
