KUST holds event for International Mental Health Day

On October 11, 2022, Komar University’s department of Medical Laboratory Science held a poster presentation event by its students to spread awareness on mental health. Mental health day falls in October of every year with a special theme. This year’s theme of the event was “Make mental health and well-being for all a global priority”. During the event, the students prepared poster presentations about different aspects of mental health and presented it to the visitors of the event with the hopes of raising awareness on this matter. Following this event, a seminar on mental health and stigma was presented by Dr. Shahla Ali, a PhD holder in psychological counseling and guidance. During the seminar, she also explained a combination of factors as risks for mental disorders.
