Department of Petroleum Engineering and SPE KUST student chapter arranged a field trip to Dana GAS- Khormor Plant on 27th and 28th of April 2019. The trip was supervised by Dr. Hiwa Sidiq and Mr. Muhammad Ali
Trip was started with the introduction to health and safety induction at the base camp. Student were then taken to the khormor gas processing plant. At plant, Mr. David welcomed all the students. Students spent many hours in the plant with production managers to observe and analyze gas processing facilities. Students learned about the Sweetening , dehydration process of sour gas. Furthermore students observed various separators, manifold, pipelines, storage tanks at the plant. Student were then taken to DCS control room. All the basic parameters were introduced to the students. Students were also introduced to instrumentation and control system.
