A Scientific trip to Darbandikhan Dam
On Wednesday, 22/11/2017 Civil Engineering department conducted a scientific trip to our students in the class of Water Resources to Darbandikhan dam. The students seemed surprised by such a huge hydraulic structure.
During the visit, the students learned a lot about the dam, its appurtenant structures and its hydro power station. In addition, our students saw the impact of the earthquake on the dam and nearby buildings.
On behalf of Komar University for Science and Technology and Civil Engineering department, Dr. Kawa Zeidan (Instructor of Water Resource Course) thanked the directorate of Darbandikhan dam for their cooperation and guidance.
