Kurdsat TV Interview of Dr. Salah Aziz
Under the theme of Kurds and Regional and International Changes, Kurdsat invited Dr. Salah Aziz to be a guest speaker in their weekly program, Politics on the night of February 8th, 2017. The interview was about the changes taking place in the Middle East and World after electing Mr. Ronald Trump as President of the United States.
Dr. Salah stated that the United States doesn’t change its strategy toward the Middle East dramatically with electing a new president. However, every president has its own style since each one has different background. For President Trump, he is a businessman so he will depend on his senior administration staff to make policies. In addition, Dr. Salah said that because of the large role of the United States in shaping the politics of the World, many countries will review their options.
For Kurdistan-Iraq, the political parties must agree on one vision and one approach to protect the stability of the region when they deal with the regional powers and the United States, according to Dr. Salah.
