Advertisers can enter our minds without permission
On Thursday, 7th Jan 2016, Dr. Muayad Jajo presented a seminar titled “Verbal, Visual and Audio Tactics in Subliminal Advertising and Product Promotion,” in KUST Showroom.
In his seminar, Dr. Muayad Jajo illustrated how modern-day marketers are recently resorting to a new method of promoting their products in their advertising campaigns. He referred to this method as “subliminal advertising” –the method involves the use of covert verbal, visual and audio messages to target the customer’s subconscious mind. For the purpose of presenting his seminar, Dr. Jajo explained his ideas in threefold style: (a) He described the method of “targeting the customer’s subconscious mind” in detail, (b) He amply illustrated how it works and (c) He attempted closely to examine its potential effects on the customer, through using several examples.
