Komar University and PJTF Collaborate on Advanced Research Methodology for Graduate Students
On August 5 & 6, 2024, a two-day training titled New Trends in Research Methodology was held at Komar University of Science and Technology. The training, instructed by Dr Hamid Farangis Zadeh, was organized in collaboration with President Jalal Talabani Foundation (PJTF) as part of an MOU between KUST and PJTF.
This training aimed to enhance the experience and skillset of graduate students in the field of research methodology. 20 master students were selected from different educational departments of University of Sulaimani and Sulaimani Polytechnic University to participate in this training.
The first day was dedicated to the fundamentals of research methodology, where initially major aspects were discussed. Comprehensive insights into the subject was provided, engaging the attendees with interactive discussions and detailed explanations. In the second part, the modern trends in research methodology were presented in detail. The core aspects of innovations (such as AI), modernization of methods and ethical considerations and their necessity in recent research activities were covered. The attendees had the opportunity to enhance their understanding and explore the reasons behind each individual aspect.
The second day of the workshop focused on practical application. Several computer practices were performed, allowing attendees to apply the theoretical knowledge gained on the first day. These hands-on sessions were designed to solidify the attendees’ understanding and provide them with practical skills that are crucial in progressive research methodology.
