April 22, 2024, marks an important stage for Komar University of Science and Technology, as it welcomed a delegation from the British Council to establish a partnership aimed at opening an IELTS test center on its premises. The delegation, led by Mr. Ben Lawton, Country Director Iraq, and Mr. Hasan Hussein, Exams Business Development Manager, engaged in fruitful discussions with the university’s president, Professor Dr. Salahalddin Saeed Ali, highlighting the importance of this partnership in promoting English language proficiency and fostering global opportunities for students and professionals alike.
Commencing with a cordial reception at the president’s office, the delegates were afforded a comprehensive tour of the university campus, acquainting themselves with the vibrant academic environment and state-of-the-art facilities. Subsequently, the ribbon-cutting ceremony heralded the official launch of the IELTS test center, symbolizing a commitment to excellence in language assessment.
Following the ceremonial inauguration, the signing of the partnership contract at the office of the Vice President, Professor Dr. Kawis Aziz Faraj underscored the mutual dedication of both institutions to advancing language education and international cooperation.
