Komar University’s Civil Engineering Students Visit Ashur Brick Factory
In an endeavor to enrich the educational experience of its students, the Civil Engineering department organized a field trip to the Ashur Brick Factory on October 18, 2023. Under the guidance of Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Raouf, this trip aimed at acquainting our engineers with the intricate process of clay brick production.
The students were not mere spectators; they were actively learning about the various stages of brick manufacturing. From the selection and preparation of raw materials to the delicate process of molding and firing, the entire journey from mud to brick was unveiled before their eyes. They were introduced to the essential laboratory experiments required to inspect the final products before they hit the market.
Making this experience even more enriching was the presence of the factory’s resident engineer, Mr. Saman Ghareeb. His invaluable insights and guidance provided students with real-world context and practical wisdom in the field of Civil Engineering.
This trip was an opportunity for students to bridge the gap between theory and practice, preparing them for successful careers in the world of construction and engineering.
