Centre of Intensive English Program (CIEP) holds its first summer event
On August 3rd 2023, the Centre of Intensive English Program (CIEP) at Komar University of Science and Technology held its first summer semester event for its students, attended by all the departments’ instructors and directors. The event aimed at engaging the English language learners of the program beyond their classes because CIEP has always believed that English language learning should be a fun and entertaining activity. The event centered around the significance of the English language as a global language, featuring an inspiring talk on “Language and Success,” an exhilarating competition called the ‘Buzz Game’ between two sections of students, and an interactive online activity that rekindled the cherished memories between students and instructors. Moreover, another primary goal was to showcase the practical application of English outside the classroom and engage students in enjoyable activities. English best-seller books were presented to the winners to motivate and reward participants, encouraging them to maintain their stellar performance. All participants and instructors’ enthusiasm and active involvement made this event an unforgettable experience.
