A seminar on monitoring infants in pregnancy and after birth
Komar University of Science and Technology, On the 06/06/2022, Dr. Naschmil Abdulla presented a seminar for “Kurdistan Save the Children” on mothers’ guidance on how to monitor infants in pregnancy and after birth for female participants in Bazian/Sulaimaniyah.
The aim of the seminar was to raise self-awareness in female individuals from different social background, in their reproductive age being either single or married. Different health related issues have been targeted that may face the mother and the fetus prior, during and after pregnancy and the time of breastfeeding. During the seminar adequate access and utilization of health services by community pharmacists to pregnant ladies have been highlighted. The attribution of pre-conception care, importance of appropriate medicine usage and abstaining from teratogenic medications during pregnancy were other important accepts of the talk. In addition, attention has been given to health related complication and their complex managements in cesarean section compared to natural birth.
