The Seventh Annual University Day ceremony
On Thursday, March 31, 2022, Komar University of Science and Technology held its seventh annual University Day ceremony. KUST students had the opportunity to exhibit their capability, skills, and scientific knowledge through presenting their academic or entertainment group projects. Many public officials, politicians, academic figures & representatives of universities, businessmen, high school students & their teachers, and students’ parents and family members were among the attendees of the celebration.
The event started at 10:30 with a classical music performance followed by one-minute silence for martyrs. Afterward, the University President, Prof. Dr. Salahaddin Saeed Ali, gave a speech that highlighted the achievements of the KUST family in the past two years. He thanked the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MHER), university owners, students, faculty members, and staff of the university as well as the UD 2022 preparation committees. In addition, he elaborated on the quality of the university’s academic environment.
Later on, the scientific and entertainment projects were opened by MHER Representative Prof. Dr. Raza Hassan and the University President, Prof. Dr. Salahaddin Saeed Ali.
During the day, more than 230 scientific/Activities projects and 50 entertainment projects were presented to the guests. The proposed scientific projects were focusing on finding solutions for daily real-life problems are/or introducing smart services to society in a very wide range of areas including Civil and Petroleum Engineering, Computer and artificial intelligence technologies, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Nursing, Medical labs science, Business administration, and English language.
Ms. Sazan Ahmad Ali, the general head of the committee, gave 16 awards to the 16 winning scientific projects and the winner of the entertainment project, and the popular vote by people who were rewarded by Wan company.
At the end of the day, the Komar Music group conducted a great musical performance, continued with Chiya’s euphonious song, and ended with an enjoyable concert by one of the KUST alumni, Ara shad.
