KUST president receives Iraqi Minister of Water Resources

On October 1st, 2022 Professor Dr. Salahalddin Saeed Ali, president of Komar University of Science and Technology, with Dr. Haval Abubakr, the Governor of Slemani received Mr. Mahdi Rashid Al-Hamdani, the minister of water resources of Iraq, accompanied by a delegation from Baghdad. Mr. Mahdi Rashid Al-Hamdani, along with Ms. Begard Talabani, the minister of Agriculture and Water Resources of the Kurdistan region will attend an international conference, arranged by Komar university, titled “Water Resources in Iraq: Perspectives and Prognosis”, which is scheduled to take place on October 2nd, 2022 on Komar University’s campus in Slemani. The conference will last for two days on campus and will incorporate a one-day trip to Dukan Dam on the third day. The conference will include 7 sessions with more than 70 research papers being accepted related to the theme of the conference. More than 200 local and international researchers will participate in the conference from different countries including all Iraqi governorates, Malaysia, Sweden, USA and Australia.
