Office of Quality Assurance Organized a Training on Educational System Reform for CIEP Instructors
As a part of the ongoing Educational System reform at Komar University, on Wednesday (February 27th 2019), Quality Assurance Office has conducted training session for the instructors from the Center of intensive English programs (CIEP). During the training, Mr. Twana A. Tahir (Director of OQAA) had focused on the challenges of learning English language as a foreign language by our students. He also addressed the negative impacts of practicing “Teacher-centered approach” in our learning process.
Furthermore, new pedagogy and the importance of applying “Student-centered approach” were explained with sharing some examples on each. New online Tools such as Zoom, Padlet and others were explained. At the end of the session, the CIEP instructors shared their experiences with teaching English and they were hopeful for having better student-centered practice in their classes.
