A seminar on RDF facility in Sulaimaniya City
On Monday, December 14,2020, a seminar was conducted for students from the Environmental Science Course as a part of applying a Student-Centered Approach by having a guest speaker from industry. The presentation was conducted by Mr. Danaz Jalal, KUST Alumni and an Environmental Engineer from Ecocem, RDF facility in Sulaimani city.
He explained the process of tackling solid waste by the RDF facility and using it later as a source of energy for the cement industry. He also mentioned the future plan for expanding the process and establishing wastewater treatment plants inside the facility
