The BIS-Sulaymaniya students visit to the KUST Anatomy Lab
The British International School, BIS-Sulaymaniya, year six students accompanied by their teachers participated in an educational field trip organized by the KRC and Lab department. The main purpose of this event was to conduct practical lectures on human anatomy by using the most technologically advanced 3D anatomy visualizing system, the Anatomage Table, and the anatomy 3D models available in the Anatomy Lab at KUST.
The lectures were supervised by Dr Sana Salahaddin, where she discussed several organs of the human body through working on Anatomage Table and Question-And-Answer sessions with three groups of students on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, October 21st-23rd. During this exciting event, the students had the opportunity to explore the human body virtually and they also were able to work on the 3D anatomy models.
“It has been an amazing and successful activity, since the students were able to see and touch the organs directly, and this helps to strengthen their knowledge of human anatomy effectively” said the teachers at the end of the field trip. In addition to the educational activity, a dental inspection was offered to the students and the teachers of the BIS-Sulaymaniya.
