Civil Engineering Department Meeting with Students
Civil Engineering department hold its annual meeting with students every year. The aim of the meeting is to discuss the current situation of the student. The meeting was started at 13:00 to 14:00. The subjects which were discussed were about 1. Graduation GPA, 1. Key courses of IP, 3. Second Chance Exam.
In the meeting, Dr. Ako (Chairman of Civil Engineering Department) talked about the new policy changed. He insisted on the department wish to help and encourage students in an effective way. The chairman showed the departmental support for any activities which enhance the students’ performance.
The last session of the meeting was for question and answer from the students. Many questions were raised with regard to different subjects. Course pre-requisite was very concerned by the students. They asked for the modification of the flowchart. Students are worried about the future of the department, since no students were joined the department in 2016. They suggested to make discounts for the future students in order to attract new applicants. Another item which was discussed was the time duration for final exam, they are disappointed by a very tight duration in the final examination. In addition, students were questioning the procedures of attendance mechanism.
Finally, the meeting was ended by taking a photo, and the students were appreciating these kind of meetings.
