CIEP CONDUCTS A MOCK OOPT
On Wednesday 22nd November 2017, the Centre of Intensive English Programme (CIEP) at Komar University of Science and Technology (KUST) conducted a mock Oxford Online Placement Test (OOPT) as part of the Student Orientation sessions for F17 prospective students.
During the mock test, Mr.Shakar Omer from IT Office explained to the students how to access the OOPT by entering the username and code provided. Next, Mr.Karzan and Ms.Arezou, instructors in CIEP, explained the different types of questions expected in the OOPT and advised them to avoid certain pitfalls during the test. Then, the students asked some questions that were answered by the instructors.
Finally, the time, date and place of the real test were announced and the students were required to be in CIEP in time.
On Thursday 23rd November 2017, the prospective students sat the OOPT. The test was held at 2.00 pm in the Computer lab and the number of students participating in was 22. The exam lasted for about one hour and a half.
