The Role of the University in Enabling Youth of Kurdistan
January 28, 2017: The President of Komar University of Science and Technology was invited to one-day conference organized by the Organization of Youth in Kurdistan. The role of university in enabling Youth of Kurdistan was discussed by several universities’ presidents and former Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Kurdistan.
In his presentation, Dr. Salah emphasized the importance of a university as a center for research to understand Youth situation and their dreams in Kurdistan; as a facilities and resources to teach and train students to enable them to engage in economy, politics and different services; and as a promoter to community services. In the meantime, Dr. Salah encouraged Youth to work hard to learn modern knowledge-based economy and seek international standards in learning process.
