Supporting Cooperation between higher education institutions in Canada and Kurdistan
Based on the invitation from Embassy of Canada in Iraq and Jordan, Dr. Salah Aziz the president of Komar Univeristy, Mr. Aso Mohammed Ali and Mr. Mostafa Abdulrahman attended a gathering between Ambassador Mr. Bruno Saccomani, Counselor and Senior Trade Commissioner, Mr. Jean-Philippe Tachdjian, and Trade Commissioner Mr. Khader Sobyhat with selected group of businessmen in Kurdistan on March 15, 2016 in Divan Hotel in Arbil.
His Excellency, the Ambassador of Canada, emphasized the importance of the development of Kurdistan in addition to fighting terrorism and helping refugees. Dr. Salah pointed out that Canadian Higher Education has a good reputation worldwide and encouraged the embassy to support initiatives which lead to cooperation between universities in Kurdistan and Canada. The Ambassador supported the idea and showed his wiliness to facilitate meetings between Komar University’s President and counterparts in Canada.
