KUST President Welcomes the President of Arab Universities Association and Some Other Universities Presidents

On July 31st, 2016, Dr. Salah Aziz, the President of Komar University of Science and Technology welcomed the president of Association of Arab Universities, Sultan T. Abu-Orabi and the presidents of some different universities of Iraq and Kurdistan region.
The Universities Presidents from Kurdistan region and Iraq were Dr. Salah Saed (President of Sulaimanyah University), Dr. Ahmad Dizayee (President of Salahaddin University), Dr. Alan Faraidun (President of Sulaimani Polytechnic University) and Dr. Muhamad Hamdani (President of Anbar University).
In a meeting, the respected presidents discussed the educational environment of Arab countries, Iraq and Kurdistan region especially. They all agreed that the cooperation between the universities in a wider circle and in this open world is very necessary. Also the possibility of the membership of Iraq and Kurdistan region universities in the Association of Arab Universities was discussed. At the end the presidents expressed their thanks for Dr. Salah Aziz for hosting that useful meeting in Komar University.
The Association of Arab Universities was founded in 1964. Now it is based In Amman, Jordan and has 280 members in 21 countries. Its aim is to enhance cooperation among the universities.
