A Seminar on Ethical Hacking for Security Protection
On May 10th, 2016, at Komar University of Science and Technology, a seminar titled “Ethical Hacking for Security Protection” presented by Dr. Aysser A. Abdulrahaman.
In the seminar, Dr. Aysser defined the different types of hackers, white hat hackers, black hat hackers and grey hat hackers, then he clarified the meaning of Ethical Hackers which related to white hat hackers and showed that Ethical Hacking necessary for protections as a proactive way because, when he/she attempts to bypass system security and search for any weak points that could be exploited by malicious hackers. He illustrated for the audience that the unsecure network in public places with public network can be penetrated by the other two types of hackers, black hackers, and grey hackers. The provided information was supported with some audios and videos which give a better understanding to the audience.
At the end, the president of Komar University, Dr. Salah Aziz awarded Dr. Aysser A. Abdulrahman with a certificate of Appreciation, and praised his great effort.
