Sustainable Construction Using Ultra High Performance Ductile Concrete (UHPdc)
On Tuesday, Jan 19th, 2016, a faculty seminar titled “Sustainable Construction Using Ultra High Performance Ductile Concrete (UHPdc)” was presented by Mr. Sardasht Sardar in KUST Showroom.
In his seminar, Mr. Sadrdasht Sardar explained that one of the significant advances of concrete technology has been the development of Ultra high Performance Ductile concrete (UHPdc). This is a sustainable construction material, best known of its high durability, ductility and tensile capacity which is mostly used in the fabrication of precast, structural and architectural applications. In his seminar, some examples of environmental impact of UHPdc structures were presented and compared to that of conventional reinforced concrete design.
