Laying the Foundation Stone of New Campus
Work has officially begun on KUST’s new campus with a foundation stone laying ceremony on Thursday, March 28, 2013. The foundation stone was laid by Mr. Emad Ahmed (Vice President of Kurdistan Region) and Dr. Ali Said (Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research) at the new campus site in Qularysi. Dr. Ali Said gave keynote speeches and highlighted new developments in the university’s educational policy, which aims to inspire a creative generation, capable of create their own jobs and future careers without depending on traditional avenues.Great number of people attended the ceremony including KUST’s Board of Trustees, the Ambassador of the State of Palestine, and a number of politicians and academics, as well as professors and students. The event was covered by local media.
