A scientific field trip to Royal Can Company
On Sunday, April 21st 2019, students from “Health, Safety and Environment” course went on a scientific field trip to Royal Can Company in Bazyan. During the trip, directors from different units of the company explained the aspects of the production lines, the quality of the products and the workers’ safety at work.
During the presentation, Mr. Darya elaborated on the production process and how it is conducted according to the international standards. Then, led by Mr. Derin and Mr. Karzan, the students toured the company in order to have hands-on experience about the practical aspects of the process, especially the safety application policy. Finally, Mr. Muhammed, the Safety Officer, mentioned that the company has its own safety policy derived from OSHA standard.
The purpose of the trip was to apply the pedagogical philosophy of “learning by doing” by acquainting the students with the real work environment and by applying the knowledge and skills developed during the course in real work situations
