KUST Showcases Innovation and Sustainability on Earth Day 2025
Komar University of Science and Technology (KUST) celebrated Earth Day 2025 with a display of student creativity and environmental commitment, reinforcing its dedication to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Under the supervision of Dr. Hamid Zadeh, two major activities stood out. Engineering Mechanics and Thermodynamics students showcased Project-Based Learning (PBL) projects using recycled materials, featuring sculptures demonstrating structural stability, handmade Heron and Stirling engines, and computer simulations aimed at reducing paper use.
At the same time, the much-anticipated Robogolli Tournament made a strong comeback. Students from the General Physics II course designed and built robotic football players, combining mechanics, electromagnetism, and coding into exciting matches that blended learning with fun.
The event highlighted KUST’s ongoing commitment to hands-on education and sustainable innovation.
